Nature over here has a bad temper. The same day as the unfortunate woman in "chest-high water" died, a seven year old kid died from stings inflicted by a jelly fish. My Irish colleague stepped on a sea anenome yesterday and found himself booking in for an operation under general anaesthetic to remove spikes from his toes. Nature: don't try it at home.
Never mind the wildfires and record temperatures too. I've been stung by a jellyfish before - also in "chest high water" - but this really takes the cake. I always thought surfers and people who were really far out were the only ones in even remote danger.
a NUMBER of sharks !! yikes. *double shudder*
