A few years back I had to ring my mum and ask her how to boil an egg. She was shocked that I didn't know how, and concerned that in some she way had failed as a mother. Since then my egg skills have improved - I can even poach eggs now.
I'm ashamed furthermore to admit that I still managed to overboil them. Though, I did one extra so I could eat it to know if it was ok and its edible still.
I think I'm going to have to ask my friends over at http://endlessbanquet.blogspot.com to do a PSA.
Yah, I did it once at my aunt and uncle's house and it worked but I can't remember how long you're supposed to put it there. It was weird, I have to say. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around the thought of putting any raw animal products in the microwave like milk, meat or eggs.
